I always advise healthy paranoia :) you're probably not needing to protect your android device from viruses, but from malware. Please read the permissions you allow to apps you download, consider the effects and whether or not you are willing to deal with the gaps you open to those applications. Finally read the comments ( he who learns from his own experience when there are other people experiences are available is not a very smart person, is (s)he) and do not allow auto update (this allows you to read what the update will be bringing on-board ) Sadly, I do not have a tab, yet, so I cannot give any advice on back-ups :) While I am not endorsing TrustGo, maybe it is worth a shot.
