Hmm I am in two mailing lists. Skunkworks and ECF which is by brits in the e-campaigning sector. The difference is interesting. ECF guys are serious...no..more like desperate to get advice, help, support and intervention. Skunkwork is more like a social space with a mean' streak spin' off. I think it would be valuable if folk figured out what it can do for them. Most folk haven't gotten it yet. That's the saddest part. Personally, I think it's working progress,,, I see interesting topics everyday.. But I remember the first week I joined the list and had a problem with Unix.. I was puzzled as to why everytime I rebooted my X8086 it lost the ip address. I received the right answer in a matter of hours- and I felt at home. Last month in a similar list at work, a guy from our continent asked an honest question... I was not impressed by the response from employees in other continents, instead of answering, they asked him questions like he dint know what he was doing e.g 'Why would you want to do that?' I hope the guys asking for help or questions nowadays are not treated with the same response that make them shy away from the skunk list. W/regards Snn

Problem may be knowing how to post code in your question which has a bit of a learning curve. I've too have been reading the unsubscribe requests but I've never seen much or any contribution from the list member so it is confusing as to why one would take such a decision. Were they on the list trolling for ideas or what were they expecting and now subjects seem to be changing that they no longer have need for this list? I don't get it either. However if it the problem is the current content, then I'd request that we bring the issues out for the betterment of the tech community and the list members.
