@pius I know the power of joomle+wordpress but I think you dont need to rush asking those regular questions that quick wed developers do ask(like templted questions). I think you can go through what other have contributed, and then try to see if the common CMC framework can help us both in a short and in a long run.e.g How much would it take to migrate,or maintain.. Evaluate things as professional as you can be.I think the more you read what others have said so far then the more you would find that frameworks of lower level like Codeignitor, fat free.JQuery etc are what you need more than these read made CMC and Blogging tools. You better start your magic from those lower level ..share your code somewhere then others can contribute down the line...contents can be prepared anytime..and we don't need to worry about copy and paste things. I think this is one of those projects where we actually need to think inside the box. The biggest reason why people (or rather I) 'tune in' to skunkworks is the actual emails. I thus suggest a simple site whose main content is generated from emails sent to Skunkworks mailing list. Technically this is a mole hill if we have access to the mail server code and files (I am sure the admins do). We would kill 2 birds with one stone; continuity since people will continue replying and creating emails as usual, and a SW website, where I could direct any new person to see what we are talking about now, in the past and future (for this point, has anyone of you tried to point to a non-skunks to get some info from skunkworks? The horror...) Of course there will be a simplified About Us page, individual listers' profiles (some rules could be put for this), search fields, and the 'How it works' or 'DIY' pages, 'Kenyan Myth Busters Videos' etc...all these are scale-able. My point is, we already have freely what most websites lack seriously...authentic, industry-coherent content. That should be the first resource we tap as-is. Regards, -- Davis Waithaka

@While reading a thread (Looking for Bestell CEO) it came to my mind that if the Skunk website in my imagination looked like Mashable.com with Tabs at the top and trending topics scrolling somewhere on the home page. And the Tabs were like Reviews, Service providers, Gadgets, Networking, Programming ....' all these in my imagination will bring a new shape and open a new door to different people and will bring sanity (As well as Agony) to techie society. While am imagining, I believe there is cause to soil our boots on this road even if we do not know the end of it. Best Regards, Michael Akunga. @Mickey - spot on! I think that would be a very good idea! We would actually have less of 'where can I get...' and it could actually live to be a very good reference point for tech industry! ./Ok3ch On Tue, Jan 28, 2014 at 8:53 AM, Mickey Mickey <michaelakunga@gmail.com>wrote:

@Okech thanks, I believe you are one member who has gathered enough wisdom through experience in this list, As well as @Wash. if Pius's and others' imagination were to give birth to a new Skunk innovation it will take less energy if the influence came from staunch members with more experience on handling the feedback and reactions from witty techies. You know people in this list are smart and smart people are difficult to deal with, a few days and Pius will sink below the bridge down the stream and the story will rest in the mail Archives. Then some day a new one will come and he/she will be told -is not the first time ...... Then some rooster comes home roasts a new techie website as an individual he build his community and with time the thing is working. will we say then - Is this not an idea that was raised in here, wait did not somebody copy our idea- and it will be all over. xxxxxx stole the idea, lets steal the mashable idea that is my opinion.
