If it's 5 floors, you should have 5 or more WAPs. 5 floors to me means lots of people in addition to the distance problem and so you need multiple WAPs. Somebody sent around a link to Ubiquiti products the other day and they look really cool: http://www.ubnt.com/purchase/africa Meraki (owned by Cisco) is also good. Ubiquiti pico stations work best in such a situation.you can have like 4 of them two on the 1st floor one 3rd floor and two on the fourth floor. Then you can repeat the signal where its weak using nanostation 2. Contact me i can give you a really nice solution to this. On Mon, Jul 22, 2013 at 12:25 PM, Adam Nelson <adam@varud.com> wrote:

Honestly no AP can cover five floors without bending laws of physics. All this solutions are great and I would suggest unifi APs for seamless integration and monitoring. Its as simple as installing and linking them via a switch and using the controller to configure and set them up without logging into each. You will need at least one per floor to get decent coverage. If you have windows facing out - you could mount a single AP to shoot in through the windows from each side of the building ... But yes - covering individual floors - you'll need an AP per floor or at least every 2 floors R ----- Original Message ----- From: "Job Muriuki" <muriukin@gmail.com> To: "Skunkworks Mailing List" <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Sent: Monday, July 22, 2013 3:57:48 PM Subject: Re: [Skunkworks] any body with an idea of WIFI ROUTER that can cover a building of five floors!
