Any recommendations of firms/teams that can develop a fully featured ecommerce website such as Jumia? I've got an idea for an auction website, so the end product should have features such as user registration, bidding, order placement, etc. I'm NOT looking for simple web design companies. I would look for teams on sites such as elance, but I'm not sure how they would go about integrating payment options such as Mpesa. Cheers, Daniel

And this is where you go wrong... About the Mpesa integration, once you hire an individual/team/company its their problem to figure, No? Just specify the requirements and let them sort you out. Secondly you have already judged the "simple web design companies" Big is not always better. Again you'd be surprised how many "Jumia like" ready commercial e-commerce CMSs you can get on the net. I agree as a client you should only specify the requirements and leave the implementation details to the "experts" that you have hired. However in the case of MPESA integration there might be business reasons/motivations for choosing to do the implementation one way or the other, hence specifying the specific type of integration might make sense if there is a business requirement. ..
