why have voter's card and ID card?

Out of curiosity, what does a voter's card do that cannot be done with an ID card? o_O?

It allows you to choose and restricts you where to vote for one On Tue, May 4, 2010 at 9:16 PM, wesley kirinya <kiriinya2000@yahoo.com>wrote:

If the ID card had data like your polling station and constituency you are allowed to vote in, then the ID would be sufficient, but it doesn't. ./Ok3ch On Tue, May 4, 2010 at 9:22 PM, Andrew Kerich <andykerich@gmail.com> wrote:

You asked why the situation is the way it is and it is because the two registers are separate - What you are saying is where you would like us to go and we are all in agreement. ./Okech On Wed, May 5, 2010 at 9:16 AM, wesley kirinya <kiriinya2000@yahoo.com>wrote:

Is it time for a re-programmable microchip based identification? -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "If you have nothing good to say about someone, just shut up!." -- Lucky Dube

@Wash, when this is done in a couple of decades, your great grandson will
then ask his peers "why do I have to carry this piece of plastic with a huge microchip? Can't it be put in a tiny chip on the back of my hand?" :-)
