@Alvin Jason Ochieng Windows XP service Pack 3 is still being supported. I have a Win XP comp right next to me and moments before I started updating, I pulled off and attached a shot clearly showing the date of the latest Security Essentials Tooll update as being Feb 2011. @Paul Kevin as a Software Developer developing Native Apps it is important that I keep an XP comp around especially for testing purposes. To add onto it, I find XP quite fast and stable. Why are you bothered what operating system others use?As long as Ms is still supporting it should tell you its still being widely used. @Alvin I didnt say it was much more stable Win 7 pro, I just said it was stable nothing more. However even the issue of Win 7 being more stable can be subjective and relative. I have had issues building apps which crush in CMake on Win 7 but do not on Win XP. The same app remains stable on both when built with vcpp 2010. I could give you a whole list of similar cases but like I sad I ain't comparing. I have had issues building apps which crush in CMake on Win 7 but do not on Win XP. The same app remains stable on both when built with vcpp 2010.
