IS it me or are Kenyans making more e-commerce sites than children? I really hate the labelling most use : "Kenyas e-bay", right, who....its annoying. So recently I went to craigslist http://kenya.craigslist.org/ and they have a kenyan version. No graphics, all text. Its kinda what www.mzoori.com are trying, and I give them marks for that. But Im tired of seeing the same things and the same layouts.

I would argue that when you want to start an online business, the most friendly/inviting type of business for most people (and I do not include developers in this) would be an "e commerce" site in one form or another. Since it feels like we, as a country, are finally waking up to the reality of doing business online then it is natural to see e-commerce sites pop up as people try out different things and get some experience doing business online. Well, i think mos of the sites are just that, a true e-commerce system is more than just a site, one has to be ready to run the ecosystem

Here's great e-commerce startup in Kenya with a whole "ecosystem" surrounding it. And it doesn't run on any common CMS visit www.goingsafari.com On Fri, Feb 25, 2011 at 12:08 PM, Dennis Kioko <dmbuvi@gmail.com> wrote:
