Hi guys, i have a problem with a server where the server performance is unstable,one time it is good and the other time is completely slow causing the sybase server running on the machine to be slow too. On the hardware side we checked the RAM and the part numbers were:398707-051..im not an expert in hardware but can someone confirm to me whether this part number is certified for HP SERVER DL 580.Or what else could cause a new HP server to be so unstable in speed your response will be highly appreciated - Done.

No idea what that error means but making a guess, could it be you are not using network drivers certified for that specific hardware and OS? had such problems with ML 370 server, change of network card solved the problems and its still running well now. Used to stabilize after a reboot and deteriorated after a few hours with NIC errors. Peter Karunyu wrote:
