PCI-E 1x EThernet Adapters - Sad Story
That there is no single entity in Kenya stocking these, yet there are thousands on PCs that come with PCI-E slots is quite disturbing. Is it just that there is no demand for them, or the PCs are just so stable that the on-board ethernet cards never failed for anyone? Alvin, Costly is relative. Bytech boss told me they were expecting some from Coast Data, who told me they don't have and don't expect to have them soon because they are slow moving... Most people I've spoken with have been "hit badly" (read exploited) by whoever happened to have the card. One guy I know bout such a card at KES 15,000 from someone at Copy Cat, who got it from somewhere else!! Given the number of PCs with on-board NICs and no PCI slots, I am still lost as to why noone is stocking these! It is frustrating Wash u can imagine I sourced them for about 10k for a bank in Uganda. They needed 35 pcs !! Anyway thats how the kenyan sales world works ...anything rare a kill is made...... Ethernet, its because most guys at home are on Huawei or ZTE
From Taiwan! now an industrialized developed country. In 1962 its GNP was at par with Zaire and Congo. Imagine being able to cheaply source the part from Congo in 24 hours.
