Why are .ac.ke domain names still expensive?
OK so we all saw the announcement that KENIC made informing us that the cost for .ac.ke, .sc.ke and go.ke were being dropped from KSH 2000 to KSH 500 (excluding VAT) http://www.kenic.or.ke/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1&limit=5&limit... Very good! Until I try to register a .ac.ke domain and my registrar is charging the same price as a .co.ke (KSH 3400) stating and I quote: "Considering the process that you need to undergo to enable you register the domains in question, we decided to charge them at the same rate as for the other KE domains."
