Gentlemen, welcome to the Service Industry. :-))) Such experiences as the site below describes are not just restricted to the web sector. One reason why I'm toooo particular on any requirements, been down this road plenty of times on various tech projects. Sometimes prospective clients will want to learn from you but not want to take up the services while other times they do not know what they want as a final solution/product and end up creating a mess. There are also good people and you need to ensure that both parties have a good understanding on Terms Of Service. If a prospective client/client does not respond to TOS, then you know you are wasting a valuable resource = your professional time. To give you an idea on the current traffic mess and how it relates to a service level ( my view, since I see them everyday ) : 70% of kenyan drivers are good and do not need a policeman to be stationed every 10 metres to ensure that the law is followed while 30% are the bad ones who need law enforcement. This 30% come in all shapes, colour and size. They could be wearing a suit, have an iphone, drive a landcruiser, matatu, toyota etc. They care less about anyone and are the main cause of the traffic problems. It is these who think they are above the law and will not have any respect for other rights. Can you imagine doing business with such people? They represent what a country can do without but in business or other cirlces it would be difficult to identify them except when they show their true colours of bouncing cheques, excuses for non-payments and even fraud. HTHs. :-) On Mon, May 17, 2010 at 11:15 AM, James Wachira <jwaciira.lists@gmail.com> wrote:
