Please include a bit of your experience with the template as well. In my experience, it saves a lot of time and money to start with a good framework that has already done all the basic stuff for you. I recommend the following starting points: - http://www.studiopress.com/themes/genesis (highly recommended) - http://themehybrid.com/ (very well thought out framework) - http://carringtontheme.com/ - The default WordPress themes TwentyEleven and TwentyTen are good but not as fully featured as the above albeit free. The above are all built by highly respected persons in the WordPress community and I would trust them any day when it comes to completeness and security. found... Code is very clean and all images are loaded using timthumb, so it's fast. I used it here - http://www.kikeboo.com
While useful, timthumb is to be avoided unless you absolutely cannot live without it. It is a great security risk - although it has been patched severally. IMO you never really get a theme out there that suits your needs, the developers did not have you in mind. If it's a business template I suggest you develop yours from scratch, use the wordpress default themes. If you understand wordpress well you can pick one which best sits your need, in that case I suggest you buy a premium theme that has most of the features you like and you can build on that. While useful, timthumb is to be avoided unless you absolutely cannot live without it. It is a great security risk - although it has been patched severally. In fact, themes that include it are no longer accepted in the official WordPress theme repository.

In my experience, it saves a lot of time and money to start with a good framework that has already done all the basic stuff for you.
I recommend the following starting points:
