Pesapal and credit/debit cards

Does anyone use his/her debit/credit card on pesapal. How is the experience? any mysterious charges or missing money. How does pesapal handle credit card/debit card details, do they store them? plain text?. When they get hacked, will I see my credit card details on underground dark markets or worse on pastebin. To pesapal web admin - the subdomain payments.pesapal.com does not force redirect to https, that is a problem.

I've used my credit card on PesaPal without a problem. Regards, Alex On Thu, May 14, 2015 at 12:59 PM, Brian Maiyo via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

I've been using my credit card on PesaPal since their inception. No complaints at all. Tony.

On whether they store your card details..... 1. At my very fist card use, I was required to separately send images of my Card & ID Card (with the sensitive CVV detail hidden). I take it that this was simply a KYC exercise on their part. 2. No card details are stored during any transactions. They explicitly indicate this on purchase the portal you use. See attached sample. Tony

ok it's not just foreign credit cards then.. Personally I think this is a major show-stopper, and unlike how most online transactions are performed, and hence against what many expect/trust. .. Mike On 5/14/15 1:43 PM, Tony Likhanga via skunkworks wrote:

At some point (I assume it's still the case but not 100% sure) foreign credit cards used on PesaPal resulted in a "manual" follow up call to the customer from PesaPal asking for a fax'ed/scanned copy of identification, in order to verify the transaction/identity. This is particularly annoying if the merchant is in the tourism industry where many/most clients are foreigners, who often is very skeptical about providing "offline" identification information to a (for them) unknown 3rd party. ..
