Martin Githinji had lost his phone one week ago in a matatu at Kahawa Wendani, but luckily for him, he had installed XTraSEC, a phone security app. Yesterday, Martin received an email with a picture of the suspect. Yes, the app had worked. Apparently, as the suspected thief tried to unlock it, he made too many attempts, triggering the app to take the snapshot. Martin has now started a social media campaign to track the suspect down. Martin should report the theft to the police they have the means to trace and recover the phone with the telephony info from the app. I lost my phone is a mat along Outer ring in Feb, reported the same to the police at the Buru Buru station and got it back earlier this month, didnt have a security app installed just the IMEI, if i had this would have made the recovery much faster. @Robert Did you actually know anyone in the police force? I think they also use the box the phone came in as proof, as long as it has IMEI stickers
