Waibochi did not do anything to change the IT landscape in Kenya.IU can say that again, because from where I sit, I haven't gotten in contact with anything from VC. Is this because Virtual City won a Nokia funding? VC is a business, and an independent one.

To the best of mu knowledge, Michuki has done all that he's done voluntarily. Just as you say, he always went out of his way to ensure these things happen, sacrificing his personal time. He put in so much time during the setup of KIXP, and eventually the J-Root Servers in KE. He did not earn any salary for these, and that's why I feel the his recognition and induction into the HOF is a good way to appreciate his efforts. Of course it would be better if the govt could consider him for a position in one of its agencies involved with ICT development in the country.
