Uber-cool disruptive tech - literally

Uproar in Europe on Uber - the nifty app that focuses on the consumer end of the transport equation. http://www.zdnet.com/europes-taxi-drivers-protest-uber-app-7000030407/ There's an app for that! (not the riot) Tony.

Tony.
Computers and the Internet are truly flattening the world, for better or worse. I don't envy the traditional taxi guys.

The interesting backlash is that the protests yesterday led to further interest in the app. It's popularity soared. Talk of the *'law of unitendent consequences'* ! Interesting times, these ones! Tony.

yes the taxi protest here in London made me aware of how good the taxi hailing apps like Uber, Hailo and Kabbee are. This would be nice to have in NBO as the app calculates the fare so the endless haggling about the fare would be easier. On Thu, Jun 12, 2014 at 12:05 PM, Tony Likhanga <tlikhanga@gmail.com> wrote:

zapacab.com left town, their business model couldn't be applied in Nairobi.
