I have a virus in my comp which makes the HD full..has anyone experienced it

Perhaps you are running some crazy application which is writing a crazy log file:-) If you search for files larger than 100MB (Adv search), perhaps you might catch the culprit. 1. Check if kaspersky is quarantining files 2. There is a small app calld avafind. Instal it, wait for it to index ur file system, open the drive and arrange by size. It wil show the file/folder eatin up ur space 3. Search files above 100mb as suggested by @wash above. However this may not work if there are multiple files of <100mb 4. I guess ur using Kaspersky V6....837 or 838 Dont go so far what happens: kaspersky when updating and encouters error normally logs in a log file so 1. Do advanced search for APPLICATION DATA file 2. Located at All users 3. Thanks people i downloaded Tree size and was able to search for the Kaspesky logs which had accumulated up to 65 gb and deleted then. Now i'm back to biz @ least i can run a repair on the comp..again thanks....i really would have love to try the tap water thing..maybe next time...any one has an idea why Kaspersky Crashes like so
