Re: [Skunkworks] XBOX 360 RED LIGHT FIX

Happy gaming mate. Don't worry bout the heat. There is a kit he uses to increase the heat sinks capacity . If i knew where to buy it i would do it myself. The thing wont happen again once he fixes it, but you need to be careful about the power surges. Have a good one. It rocks! The only thing that beats that are gaming pc's, go figure :-). I sold mine after i chokad with the TLC required. I'm now chilling for early adopters to buy the new one with ventilated heat sinks and 250 GB HDD as well as built in wifi. I will read the reviews and then decide if i want it. I have no IT solution why this works (beats me) but it is a temporary fix I found from the internet. The red lights will come back again after a few days of play and you have to go through the same cycle again. This is very risky, so if anything goes wrong you are on your own bro. Oh, the other permanent solution was to open up the xbox and apply thermal paste on the processor, but I dint have the right screw drivers to try that. I think what you mean to say is the xbox360S (Smeaning slim in certain circles). I believe you are very right wait and see what problems they will experience first but micro$oft claim that the slim version will not experience a similar problem with heating. The discussion of which console is better is going to go down like which linux distro is better.Gaming is really not a complex issue. Someone once told me that you get a console because of an exclusive game that interests you. In this scenarios PS3 = God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted, Xbox360 =Halo Reach, Mass Effect, Gears Of War, Forza MotorSport 3The PS3 is better only becoz of 2 things;1. Blueray player out of the box.2. Availability of 3D games. The 360 was better because of the easily available soft mods and pirated games (Sorry game developers).Just my thoughts. Regards, -- Lusiola Brian |3 R 1 /-\ |\| _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Rules http://my.co.ke/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=94 ------------ Other services @ http://my.co.ke << 2.dat >> -------------------------------------------------------------- Ovi Mail: Making email access easy http://mail.ovi.com _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Rules http://my.co.ke/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=94 ------------ Other services @ http://my.co.ke << 2.dat >> -------------------------------------------------------------- Ovi Mail: Making email access easy http://mail.ovi.com
