anyone from KDN here? ... KU [kenyatta uni] hasn't had butterfly connectivity since the current semester started... 6 weeks ago. You can see it on your list of wireless networks... and your PC will connect to it, but thats it. it will not receive any DHCP data (.. like IPs for the DNS and gateway and etc). i guess its coz the link between the butterfly infrastructure in KU and KDN HQ is down. ... and yeah, we've called support enough times on 020-500002, and we've been promised prompt action all of those enough times by sami, or nora, or pato [...gai, i even know they're names coz of calling them soo many times :D!]. anyway, most guys here [mainly the IT students] we're willing to pay for butterfy-- most of them are highly unfit geeks who would rather pay to surf from they're beds than walk all the way to the labs, lol ... anyhows, i hope this gets to the right people. our HELB money is quickly running out :) CHEERS! simon : 0771-556-909
