Open Source Project Management Software

Guys, I need a little advise, am among the people overseeing a hotel renovation process, there is a lot of procurement, tendering, purchasing and reporting to do, everything is currently being done manually since we are establishing everything from scratch, please advise, does anyone know an open source solution (preferably open source) that I can use to ease part of these processes? -- ------------- David Mugo, ICT & E-Commerce Consultant, http://majibu.com Twitter: @raidarmax

@David, not sure on the open source front but why is the hotel not going the fully fledged way on things like Fidelio? Rgds. On Sun, Nov 21, 2010 at 3:05 PM, David Mugo <raidarmax@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello David, Seams you have yourselves a project to execute. I would recomend MS Project for you and especially for time management and co-ordination but you specifically asked for open source solution. To be perfectly honest I never thought about it until now... So I did googled... One of the resulting links is below: http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/open-source-project-management-software.html If you do try any of them please give me feedback on your experience as I hadn't time & resources to test. Guys,
I need a little advise, am among the people overseeing a hotel renovation process, there is a lot of procurement, tendering, purchasing and reporting to do, everything is currently being done manually since we are establishing everything from scratch, please advise, does anyone know an open source solution (preferably open source) that I can use to ease part of these processes?

Me and my small team have been trying out ProjectPier<http://www.projectpier.org/>to manage various software dev projects running concurrently. Its simple, beautiful and to the point. Specifically, you get: 1. Unlimited projects 2. Milestones 4. Tasks and tasklists You can assign any of the above to users. On Sun, Nov 21, 2010 at 6:05 PM, David Mugo <raidarmax@gmail.com> wrote:
