You can walk into any M$ Vendor shop and buy the DVD plus the license. So are you going to use a pirated copy (licence?) or a cracked version? Why don't you just go ahead and install Windows 7 (the one Phares has a DVD of) and buy a license when the time comes? Odhiambo, I have the Windows 7 DVD. It does upgrade. My only issue is that I am not sure of its stability and there seems to be little to no existing support for Windows 7. So if I have issues, i am not convinced I shall be ok especially with my laptop which is rather heavily used. Minor hitches cause me untold grief... I hear you. However, I know a few guys who are very happy using Windows 7 and have so much praises for it. I found the Ultimate By the way, thanks to Alvin. On Win 7, As I tried to install it, it gave me a list of apps that it feels incompaptible with including SKYPE!!! Ok. It said that I should uninstall them then reinstall afterwards BUT it there was no assurance that it would work with them either. Several of my Adobe CS4 programmes were on the list as well.... Aiiiii? I shall wait a year and then with my next laptop (if its not a mac) then I shall consider 7. I've been using Windows 7 RC since it's release and the only issue it had was a hardware compatibility with my fingerprint reader.All applications work fine. The only issue i have is when am connection to other pc's on my network via the search panel. It takes a while to interpret my command but its coz i tweaked the search panel to act as an browser addres bar
