What are the fast moving IT accessories in the Kenyan Markert?
Dear List, In your opinion, what are the fast moving IT accessories in the Kenyan Market? Background to the question: I have a cousin in Japan who wants to send me some accessories for sale, my day_n_night job is code, so I would not want to bring in something that would bother my mind for two years. Of the top of my head..
LED Tvs at a cheaper rate than Tusky's and Nakumatt - and you supply the suppliers or broker-individuals LCD TVs of the same
we were also able to push lots of phones (average, not too smart and not too mulika mwizi) at around 6k per piece,, they literaly went overnight by keeping our margins low
small laptops will also do well if you can beat the price of the shops
music players (other than ipods) wud do quite well with college populance (if you can beat the price frm where they get those devices)
cool looking ear-phones (not headphones) - seem to do well with music lovers with handheld music devices
speaking for myself,, i like remote controlled toys eg flyin helicopters and short range toy cars - i bot some in China at less than 3k,, and compared with 8k-10k at kenyan shops for the same is just abit steep,, keeps them on the shelf,, I wonder how they wud do if they sold them cheaper
==== I guess the reasonating factor here is 'price' (think Equity) to differentiate thyself from all these other importers who go to China, Bangkok etc every other week. Plus, you will definately need a good connection at KRA to handle your shipment,, otherwise utasumbuliwa !!!
