why would anyone want to buy a router that's got such little throughput @ 784kbps. I assume that in about 3 months time, minimum soho bandwidth offered would be between 2-8Mbit. I'd never buy this router....

Alvin, I feel sorry for the satisfied person. Is here aware of the word obsolete? let him know, he has a right to product knowledge. I dont think any serious service provider will offer local loops at those speeds. ;-)
That is the product he has had for a while now and you know us Kenyans looking for ''cost cutting'' methods...!!!! I just wanted him to see the speeds he will get on that cisco product vis-a-vis buying new products!!! Thanks Guys. Muraya, By the time you are pushing 5mbps on a link, it means that you are probably going to start running other services e.g Telephony, VPN services etc, thus the need for an INTERGRATED ROUTER (1800 / 2800 series).
