You could get one of those usb dvb TV decoders and record directly from digital TV. They are quite cheap about 2k. Why not just connect the TV's headphone outlet to the laptop's mic inlet (using one of those dual jack aux cables) and hit record on the whatever sound recording app you have in your laptop? I think windows still comes with the recorder app. -Billy 2012/4/18 <mwangy@gmail.com>

Here's my poor man's bare-bones solution 1. Get a way to capture the output from the Telly and feed that as a Mic input into the Laptop. I'm thinking in the line of suitable audio cables depending on what your telly has for output connectivity. 2. Install Freecoder on your laptop : Available from http://freecorder.com/ 3.
