Whoever the site admin is, should: - 1) Appreciate the use of PhpMyAdmin - the simplest tool given to handle such issues over a web interface or run a very simple repair table command. 2) Beware that for tables, from my experience - those used to store sessions - have this problem. The same happened with OsCommerce sessions table when I decided to store your sessions in the database. I even at one time saw - a problem with indices - the table descriptor reads n rows but the data is actually n+1 rows. 3) A simple solution, yet to be proven, would be to use a trigger to remove or archive data on expired sessions. 4) Regularly run maintenance checks on your database - use triggers to run when you know there is least traffic. 4) If you are sure your temporary folder is secure enough - store your sessions there.
