So, I've been so overly immersed in the Mac world that .. i'm now Ignorant.. and that's not a good thing. Someone asked me whether this would be a good PC. Dell, 2.6Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2GB Ram, 160GB HD. With a 19" TFT. @ 30K. Windows 7. and i said.. urrrmmmm.. So i checked up on it. I can't find something on a similar spec list let alone something that runs Win 7 at that spec level.. am i not looking correctly for it? and if someone does know whether this is correct, and possible, is the price right? i'd like to give Sound Advice. and would appreciate the help. well if they are not talking i3 or i5 or i7 you are getting a machine most likely manufactured last year ... On Fri, Oct 29, 2010 at 11:17 AM, Watchman <skunkingrahim@gmail.com> wrote:

30k for those specs is not a bad bargain! I got a laptop of slightly lower specs.....at 60K as at last year!!! On Fri, Oct 29, 2010 at 1:38 PM, Peter Karunyu <pkarunyu@gmail.com> wrote:

okoth is right, especially since you're getting a 19inch tft, which normally goes for between 8k to 12k, depending on how used/new it is. so, the PC itself is basically 20k... considering that it would cost more than that 20k to assemble your own PC of similar specs, i'd say u should take the deal... a 2.6 core 2 duo goes for close to 10k, a 160bg HD for close to 4k, 2GB ram at 2,500, the case at 1500, the motherbaord at 5 or 6k, the dvd-drive at 2300... am sure am past the 20k mark already... of course, its obviously a used machine btw.
