Yes, Huawei is launching its U8220 on 20th July in Kenya. I don't have the pricing details as yet but I know that for sure. Am not sure if Safaricom has other handset makers along as well. http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_u8220-3144.php On Fri, Jul 16, 2010 at 10:36 AM, aki <aki275@googlemail.com> wrote:

Safcom already has Android phones; my lil' bro has one of them (HTC Tattoo I think). As far as I know he got it via the regular channels, not thro' special contacts. Saidi On Fri, Jul 16, 2010 at 6:30 AM, Larry Madowo <larrymads@gmail.com> wrote:

<http://my.co.ke> Alex, Why are you waiting eagerly? Is there something in the Android phones that make them better than the Symbian-based, or even the Windows Mobile-based? This is what I am missing, but it could be just that I am not crazy about gizmos. I have in my possession a Nokia E72 and Nuvifone M10 and honestly, they make no difference in my life, given that I also have a laptop. However, I'd love to hear someone explain to me what makes Android, Symbian or Windows Mobile superior than the other. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "If you have nothing good to say about someone, just shut up!." -- Lucky Dube

Different folks, different strokes. Depends what you need a phone for; depends what you value about a phone's ecosystem/community (if that is a consideration). Nokia 1110 works just fine for some people, iPhone for others, Android for me, Nokla for many more. Saidi On Sat, Jul 17, 2010 at 5:41 AM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com>wrote:

Somebody explain why the phone will cost 30,000 shillings, or is it because it is smart? again, why will the vodafone 845 cost half the amount despite little difference as seen here http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3144&idPhone2=3212

I have the three, and I feel that Windows mobile should not be on that list. WM6 is a total disappointment! On Tue, Jul 20, 2010 at 11:52 PM, saidimu apale <saidimu@gmail.com> wrote:
