@Brainia, I don't work for KENIC so i cannot purport to talk on their behalf on staffing, but you realise a company more so a PPP model like KENIC must have structure like a board, credit control, audit, marketing, customer care, administrative managers, and techies, and other I might have overlooked. The prices can be lowered if KENIC has seed capital to cushion it for the lack of profit. But again, will there be more uptake on .ke domains just because the prices have been lowered? Are we patriotic enough to carry our brand on our shoulders? We have enough .ke extensions that compete well with gTLD equivalents. .ac.ke, .me.ke, and .sc.ke are good examples priced at KES500. But I still see many schools and colleges going for the .com and .org nevertheless .za domains are not that cheap either because they move for about RS110 despite the huge marketshare they command @Katembu, thank you for capturing wanjuki's views correctly. The other charges associated with running companies in Kenya still inflict KENIC -- ______________________ transworldAfrica.com | Fluent in computing transworldAfrica.com/domain | The ALL powerful domain search tool kenya.or.ke | The Kenya we know
