Hi Skunks, Thinking of taking a Fibre connection with Jamii Telkom, any skunks with them and what can you recomend about the quality of there link and customer support? Thanks!

Hi Skunk, They have good customer service and link is pretty stable. Although i have recently experienced high latencies that am no able to explain why neither have they given a reasonable reason. otherwise its pretty good and stable. Jamii Telkom, otherwise known as JTL have crappy fibre. I have had very bad experience with them. I know a few organizations with the same problem. This is especially true if you are in the outskirts of nbo like say mombasa road, that link is so damned intermittent, I get emotional just thinking about it. Not that their reaction time is anything to sing about either. If you are recommending this solution as the IT person..woe unto you. One word..ABSTAIN.. JTL's core business comes from major corporates where they have solid contracts like, if a fibre link goes down, then a refund will be made to the client. So, imagine your small self trying to cause a tantrum to JTL when your link goes down. You probably will be doing them a favor when you terminate the contract. :) 2 cents.
