Unless we can cache most of the content locally we will always be affected by these cuts. Its so bad when yo used to pushing an average of 25 mbps you get 12 mbps or less and none of your users care to kill the torrents to save on bandwidth. Fiber cuts and DDoS are totally unrelated. Jamo Njoroge confused you with his post! Only System Administrators like me who also are Mail Admins can understand and feel the effects of the particular DDoS he's referred to, but again it takes one minute to mitigate this, with a few spam seeping through - no harm because spam doesn't kill anyway!
