Software runs only in accounts with administrative privileges.

Hi guys, Does anyone know of a workaround for a situation whereby a software cannot run on a Limited User Account, but only runs on account with administrative privelages?????

The instructions say it should?? -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!

Actually its a customized ERP, running on a vb.net platform. Ideally, I think it should be able to run on a LUA. Havent gone through the manual yet, but just curious to know if there are some programs which can only run on privelaged accnts.

@nerdalf, Is there a way of permanently adding this info(password) on the runas menu. So that @ every given time it logs in the users automatically. Coz I wouldn`t want to give the admin password to the users....

The software must have been installed wrongly since a user software should not need admin privileges to run - consider re-installing and following the instructions carefully. ./Ok3ch On Fri, Oct 22, 2010 at 2:11 PM, Daniel <butaki@gmail.com> wrote:

In a domain setup, just add the user to the local admins group. You have to do it anyway if that is what the software requires. Read him/her the caveat, and make him/her sign somewhere if need be, that they will not abuse the privilege. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!

@wash, Currently, that is how I am handling the users. (As local admins). I had found a link which seemed to be addressing my problem but unfortunately it doesn`t!!! http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/xprunas.htm

Does the instructions say "it should run on any account, even without Admin privileges"???? -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!
