A sad Tale of a Kenyan version of Steve Jobs
Let’s draw parallels if Steve Jobs were a Kenyan. He did call the Intel CEO when he was 12 years old, explaining that he had a technical invention that he thought would be of help to the company. And the Intel CEO bought into his idea, and gave him a space and lab and equipment to bring his ideas to light. Let’s fictionalize how the conversation might have gone if he were a Kenyan. So, let’s assume that he is Mc'Dubious here and the Intel CEO would be a CEO of a telecommunications/media company. here is how the conversation would play out *Mc'Dubious*: Hi, Sir, I’m Mc'Dubious. Everyone has an idea that can make a lasting difference, problem is they are not given a chance, not to do it, but just to be heard! Watchman, Many people have such ideas. The downside is that they sleep on the idea turning it useless. Our education system is one where you are fashioned to employment and what happens is that once you reach the promised land of employment, your time is consumed by monotonous routine. Creativity may be seen as insubordination and such time spent may be termed as neglecting your duties. If your creativity goes far and looks promising, your immediate boss may sell the idea to management as his own, earning some good perks in the process as you get pressurised to make the idea work. we can't debate on whether finishing school is important or not for self growth or education. What we can debate on whether it is or is not pertinent to success of an individual. There are many success stories coming out from the dropouts Sir Richard branson, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, they're all important people. They all made it. But they made it because of one thing and one thing alone. They had what it took to go that extra mile for themselves and they knew how to do it. I don't know much about Zuckerberg, when facebook first came about i read that he put the blog together so that he could on a friday night stop feeling lonely after his girlfriend broke up with him, it got popular and now. I consider that luck more than anything. ( This is if it is true. ) I know from what i have heard that Branson is a hell of a businessman and he made it due to raw willpower. comes from what i understand is a rather poor background. Steve jobs himself explained in his speech that his family wasn't an elitist family. Bill gates, a smart businessman. There are many success stories coming out from the dropouts Sir Richard branson, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, they're all important people. They all made it. But they made it because of one thing and one thing alone. They had what it took to go that extra mile for themselves and they knew how to do it.
I don't know much about Zuckerberg, when facebook first came about i read that he put the blog together so that he could on a friday night stop feeling lonely after his girlfriend broke up with him, it got popular and now. I consider that luck more than anything. ( This is if it is true. )

There are many success stories coming out from the dropouts Sir Richard branson, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, they're all important people. They all made it. But they made it because of one thing and one thing alone. They had what it took to go that extra mile for themselves and they knew how to do it.
I don't know much about Zuckerberg, when facebook first came about i read that he put the blog together so that he could on a friday night stop feeling lonely after his girlfriend broke up with him, it got popular and now. I consider that luck more than anything. ( This is if it is true. )

I dont think the issue is whether or not you would be deterred but rather, in a local context, McDubious would be.
In Steve's, Mark's,etc experience they did attract venture capitalists who heavily funded them.

There are many success stories coming out from the dropouts Sir Richard branson, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, they're all important people. They all made it. But they made it because of one thing and one thing alone. They had what it took to go that extra mile for themselves and they knew how to do it.
I don't know much about Zuckerberg, when facebook first came about i read that he put the blog together so that he could on a friday night stop feeling lonely after his girlfriend broke up with him, it got popular and now. I consider that luck more than anything. ( This is if it is true. )
I know from what i have heard that Branson is a hell of a businessman and he made it due to raw willpower. comes from what i understand is a rather poor background. Steve jobs himself explained in his speech that his family wasn't an elitist family. Bill gates, a smart businessman.

The problem with the world today, is that it has singled out about 20 geniuses (less than 0.000000...% of the worlds population i couldnt even finish the calculation) individuals who didnt finish school, and put a formula to it, that its the key to success. Shock on you! 1. are you a certified genius? 2. are you at the forefront of a new technology? 3. have you invented something unique before the age of 18? If no to all the above, finishing school might be your best bet to some kind of wealth......school is very important.
