I've seen some people on another ICT related list complaining of having received the 'YES' campaign texts courtesy of Safcom and I go to think maybe since Safcom adorn green colour, the susbscribers on Safcom are reminded to vote 'YES' unconditionally. I'm on Zain and have only received the 'Shinda Smart' promotional texts which are really irritating. Maybe Safcom aint to blame; if i wanted a pile of numbers i would write a script which generated 6 digit numbers starting from 111111 upto 999999 then onto these generated numbers prepend the known prefixes of safaricom, yu, orange etc Once these numbers are in place, its a simple matter to send bulk sms'es to them. @Karunyu Thats correct but to terminate the messages via any local provider you must sign an agreement on what you are doing so basically Safcom is involved. About those messages I also got one which wasnt pleasant, and I Agree lets keep politics/religion off this list by all means.
