I am looking at taking several SIP Trunks (with a yet to be determined number of voice channels) for overseas numbers. This is because my setup has very little to do with locals (Kenyans) and so it is a good incentive (or so I think) for the target clients. To be specific, France(Paris), Germany (Munich), Schweiz (Geneva), UK(London) and US (NY). Why I need this is so that even from the office, we can make international calls cheaply by configuring proper call routing (LCR). It would be interesting to know what costs apply if I took a SIP trunk with a Nairobi number. What would my call charges be for Int'l calls?

BTW, I have just gotten Novanet to come down on their voice channel costs - to US$20, meaning US$600 for a 30 voice channels, which is still expensive by Kenyan standards! I should be looking for something more cheaper even than the 25,000 you mentioned. I know that it's possible I could get just a single trunk with 30 channels from a central place in Europe and route all my calls from it. Should not be quite expensive calling other countries from it....

That is too expensive, for a 30channel trunk it translates to $900 per month.

Local service provider of SIP Trunks like MTN Business and Iway Africa will charge you about KES:25,000 per 30 channel SIP Trunk. International call rates are good especially with I-way, talk to Vincent copied above.

I need to compare who you use with Novanet.net, with whom I am about to sign up. I have the feeling that paying USD 30 per voice channel is way too high so looking for able compez with good calling rates

Anyone from a Call Centre?? Or other organization using SIP Trunks primarily?
