Hi All, Has anyone here ever bought an I-phone 3GS 32GB from china. I would like to send someone but don't want to end up with a fake phone. What are the tips and tricks? Regards

Yes I did; got a very fake one;; paid double for what its actually worth... It came with two batteries, very bad screen resolution, double sim, TV and radio.. and the 32 GB they claimed was only 1.7 GB.. But I blame the person I sent; she cudnt tell the difference between an*iPhone *and a *Hi-Phone*... So be careful !

two words. Do Not! Also learned the hard way. Bought it for wifey as a Valentines present off ebay. It got here in very good time(impressed). Double Sim / Two batts/ huge screen...the works Then i plugged it in to charge, charger blew. It had 8MB (yes 8 only) and hang every 2 hours requiring a complete cold reboot. Very bad experience and wifey bought herself another phone so have to tafuta new ideas for next year. Off the record, I bought it from Tinydeal.com who are very quiet about my questions. Hey Eric, Been seeing this around here are some notes 1. Can't tell you which sites/shop to buy or not to buy from but here is one note "Warranty" fake phones rarely have warranty documents to be filled in they claim the receipt is all you need. 2. Specs: Software. This is easy. I Phone and Nokia will never run Android or Windows on an already released model (without that OS). So walk(*scroll*) away once you see this in the specifications e.g. "Nokia N97 unlocked with Windows Mobile....". 3. Specifications again: Mostly on hardware. if given(real pictures or interactively) look out for tell tale signs e.g. VHF-TV receivers, Analog Radio on models without radio e.g. I Phone, Touch screen on phone without touch screen and Stylus on phones without them, also dual SIM, spare battery, internal memory size, expandable memory types/sizes/brands. 4. Copyright infringement. Most companies trading legitimately in fake phones need to deceive without braking the law, so (a) Picture on web is not the same as the phone. (b) Name is misspelled or mistyped, (c) Make of phone is never mentioned e.g. "...unlocked 3Gs for $199..." or "...unlocked N900 for $299..." (stay away).
