The best testing platforms which give the worst results

Well, If you have any application, especially web and you want to do a real good test to make sure it will work anywhere, don't go far, simply test it under internet explorer and windows vista/xp or basically windows. They will give you the worst results that can be of your website or application. I think that is the only one good thing Micro$oft has to offer, but it was not intentional, it is as a result of creating a software that does very little for you. It in no way tries to think what you intended to do with sth but does it the way it likes and doesnt care what the result will be. ;) -- Solomon Kariri, Software Developer, Cell: +254736 729 450 Skype: solomonkariri

Unfortunately, you have not provided any concrete data to back up your argument. Currently IE has around 65% of the market share, so as a web developer, it would be terribly imprudent to disregard it. Secondly, IE has several benefits (one of them being seamless integration with Windows, Sharepoint is not as fluid on Firefox). I'm preaching for IE, however there is a concrete reason why they currently have lead market share. -- With Regards, Phares Kariuki | T: +254 734 810 802 | E: pkariuki@gmail.com | Twitter: kaboro | Skype: kariukiphares |

that is -- a high priced de facto standard operating system which people ponied up money for becuase either they had no other option ..or they thought they were getting a great deal (until after they had spent their money...). lots of trash gets sold in this way.

Out of curiosity, which browsers released in 2001 like IE 6.0 got it right? Have these bugs been fixed in IE 8.0? There must be better things to discuss than software done badly in 2001. Which browsers today are perfectly designed for the 2015 web? At this rate, some will be complaining about IE 8 while ignoring improvements in IE 10 or 11 then. Me loves FF most but IE 8 is not as evil as IE 6.0. Why has Google not been able compete with Twitter as a Real Time Communication (RTC) System? Could it be that Google was not thinking RTC until recently? Why would anyone complain about it now that Google Wave is here?
