Locate a single text file out of 20000 files
Skunks, I managed to recover 20000 text files out of a formatted HDD. My challenge is the application I used to recover with renamed all files to a different name. Out of the 20000 recovered, I only need one. Fine, this is easy with a linux distro, but am in a remote area where I cant find one. I need to use the file tomorrow. Am currently on vista. Any help? Index the files and use Windows Search to search inside each file. There is some old DOS Comnand called, I think Find, that can search inside files. But try Windows first.
