Hi all, Does anyone have an idea whether I will still be connected (intenet-wise) if I were to travel to Tanzania, specifically Dar-es-salaam... I am talking of Safaricom and/or Orange... what about Airtel? Will I incur extra charges on my bundles? If not do they have a prepaid internet bundle thing going on there? will one need to do SIM registration if one were to buy a card there? which provider would be recommended... do they still have cyber cafes? where I can go connect my laptop etc... any help would be appreciated Regards, Mula G -- Those who are skilled in combat do not become angered, those who are skilled at winning do not become afraid. Mula The data charges for roaming are astronomical. Fortunately many hotels have free wifi . I woud advise u use that. For you to acquire a Voda or Airtel line working It takes 24 hrs after registration On Dec 6, 2013 12:11 PM, "Mula G Njira" <g2mula@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Mula, Never ever roam while in East Africa! The best option is get a local SIM card, which will also help you make way cheaper calls while there. You'll be required to register but it will work fine. There are also many cyber cafes in TZ which have affordable rates or you can use the free Wifi provided if you'll be staying in a hotel which has it. Best option is to get local sim card and purchase data bundles. Think of what you do while you are right here at your home country. On Fri, Dec 6, 2013 at 2:43 PM, Joseph Maina <mainasoft00@gmail.com> wrote:
