Five Android smartphones you should avoid buying...

This might annoy some Ideos fans (and fanatics)...so I apologize in advance... http://goo.gl/y9wdj I saw the link on Yahoo News site. Timo.

The definition of IDEOS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideos) is a dietary supplementary. So what the Chinese where tryin here is to make a smart phone supplementary. In short, an IDEOS is not a smart phone, but a wannabe :) On Thu, Aug 4, 2011 at 4:55 PM, Timothy Mutugi <timothymutugi@gmail.com>wrote:

IDEOS : This problem is amplified when you consider that most prospective users of this “starter Android phone” haven’t owned a smartphone before. There are certainly smarter ways to try out an Android. On Thu, Aug 4, 2011 at 5:07 PM, Paul Kevin <paultitude@gmail.com> wrote:

The ideos is a good Enough introduction to the android platform. Compared to any other phone in its price range it has no competitor in my opinion. That it doesn't offer a full android experience is debatable. I know guys with iPhones/blackberries that only use them to call and SMS. Are they wasting the resources? Maybe but the gadget is theirs to do with as they wish. Regards, Mark Mwangi Sent from an ideos. On Aug 4, 2011 5:49 PM, "mash lists" <mashlists@gmail.com> wrote:

Well. Americans have big fingers thats why they prefer say an iPad compared to say Samsungs and Ideos (Chinese/Korean fingers, ti hi hi). I would expect the Ideos to be there since Americans have more money (credit money?) to spend on high spec phones. What about poor Kenyans, don't we need an Android, too? Regards,
The Ideos is the bottom of the range, the cheapest by far android phone you can get. and as said in the article 'you get what you pay for'. I am very happy with my ideos, email, skype, a bit of surfing, google+, ... are satisfactory for me. Apart from that i use it with OSM Tracker for mapping which is GREAT. The GPS has almost the accuracy of a garmin and is good enough for this purpose All in all a BIG advantage over 'feature phones' -- Best Regards, Christian Ledermann <*)))>{ If you save the living environment, the biodiversity that we have left, you will also automatically save the physical environment, too. But If you only save the physical environment, you will ultimately lose both. 1) Don’t drive species to extinction 2) Don’t destroy a habitat that species rely on. 3) Don’t change the climate in ways that will result in the above. }<(((*>
