I think will settle on zimbra... but one more question does zimbra leave messages (sent ,inbox, email accounts, calenders) on the server such that from wherever i log into i will access the sent mails?????
That is a characteristic of an MuA (Mail User Agent) like M$ Outlook. It's a configuration option. PS: I still think Zimbra is an overkill for your needs, and with your knowledge level, I think it's a very steep learning curve, though nothing wrong with that. Zimbra Community Edition has certain limitations on the groupware aspect. I am not sure you'll easily support Calendars using a MuA, but if you are gonna use the web UI (requires you to have so much bandwidth when you access remotely) then yes, you will be roaming and accessing your e-mails from everywhere. Better get the commercial edition and run it on Linux, or get the Virtual Appliance as suggested by Phares. If you are a hardened SysAdmin, then go right ahead and install on FreeBSD:-) -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!

I'm unable to access Google talk thru my browser, but I can using an ancient version of Pidgin that I just stumbled upon somewhere deep in my PC's filesystem. In a nutshell, yeah, I'm having tough "luck" connecting to Google talk. On 10 November 2010 14:33, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com> wrote:

If it's that ancient, then you should know that protocol handling changed at some point. So get a new version from www.pidgin.im and only complain if that (2.7.3) doesn't work. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!
