Of ISPs and local loops

Curious: Assuming I have a 512kbps internet connection should I expect faster download speeds if am just surfing/downloading from within the local loop or is that also still limited to the max speeds allowable on a 512 bandwidth? -Billy

@Billy, That depends on your arrangementwith ISP.Most ISPs sell your capacity being the same from the loop all the way to the internet.And it would cost them more work to manage the two separately i.e for local traffic and for international.
