We already entrust so much personally identifiable information to banks and other service providers. Why should biometric data be seen as a unique risk? On 9 Oct 2015, at 10:46, skunkworks-request@lists.my.co.ke wrote:

I also saw that when i was forced to register for biometrics! The way i see it, it's a double edged sword, in terms of fraud vs security. I am also not happy being forced to surrender this information. God knows what they will as "appropriate".

@Mark, thinking outside the box, if one could get a picture of your fingerprint, they can then 3D print a gel with the same <http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/42196/iphone-5s-security-given-someones-fingerprint-can-i-use-a-3d-printer-to-create>, stick it on their fingers and in so doing impersonate you. Assuming of course, the place where they are impersonating you checks only fingerprints and not the face attached to the fingers. However, if they additionally had a photo of your face... At least thats what Mission Impossible AND the tv series Face Off would have me believe. On Fri, Oct 9, 2015 at 10:57 AM, Mark Kipyegon via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

I think that is an awkward question to ask ..... we or rather I had no problem with the data I had problem with the terms of use with the data they were getting, in the form they claim'to use it as they deem appropriate' what the hell is appropriate On Fri, Oct 9, 2015 at 11:37 AM, Alvin Jason Ochieng via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

Why is everyone assuming fingerprints are replacing signatures. The security measures such as fingerprint and cornea scans should be in addition to other existing and tried methods. It just means you have to steal more info from me, not just the signature. On Sat, Oct 10, 2015 at 11:10 AM, Mickey Mickey via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:
