Hehehe... places in Europe and US @ minus 17 deg and worst winter ever for decades, Temp at Lake Bogoria Area today was 30 Deg Plus and what a serene area. The hot springs an added sight to see and the escarpment is something else. Birds, You can use a regular car to access Lake Bogoria, 90% is tarmac. Distance from Nakuru is 100kms. Nope but will definately stay over another time as was on a 1 day trip. I've been to plenty places in ke all the way upto to lesiolo beyond maralal but its nice to be doing it again after many years. Lake Bogoria was a very pleasent surprise and I find it hard to believe that there is no cottages/hotels over looking the lake. It would make a nice stress free retreat for many who want a change from urban things. On calender for later is Lake Jipe in Taveta which I've never been to. Gmaps show this area as a swampy lake, not too deep so I think it must have plenty of things to see. Anyone been there, what are the road conditions like?
