When the Brazilian govt. adopted open-source software in 2005 - they instantly joined the global train backed by India, Brazilian diplomats did a hell of a job backing this transition. 5 years later in Sao Paulo at the campus party, they had 6,800 participants registered for the event with prominent figures like Al Gore, Steve Wozniak and Tim Berners-Lee attending the event. At the party, Brazilian techies were engaged with : 10 Gig network speed and a busy schedule with 400 activities, 400 hours of content and 317 projects.
