Re: [Skunkworks] Installing teamviewer on centos 5.4

The first problem is that I dont think the CentOS version - 5.4 is in support hence yum shall fail. The last support I shink should be 5.8.
Solutions would be upgrade using a 5.8 disc or higher, which most guys dont prefer or do a clean install on supported version then yum all the packages else you have to seek the binaries or source files of each missing dependency.
You do not need to re-install to update from 5.4 to 5.8. Just hit "yum update" and when its done reboot and you are on 5.8. Petty safe and reliable. If you want to go to centos 6, then that is an upgrade and need more planning
Me thots!

Since you are missing compilers and libraries, I would suggest you try install the package groups.
yum -y install "Compatibility libraries" "Development tools"
All the best.

Teamview obviously needs telnet/ssh services and without libgcc etcetra; ssh/telnet may not work..

You can download and install packages/libraries like "libgcc" from free sites around the web..
ftp to your directory and # pkgadd -d libgcc*
As advised; do this for all...
