Well,I do not know of the congestion since I'm getting good service! :) Anyway, let me tell you who the real heroes are.You have heard that some people will stay for a WHOLE WEEK without a connection since their ISP did not take the initiative of planning properly. You have also heard me complaining on this list that my service provider,Safaricom, has short-changed me on many occasions. However,I'm going to give credit where it is due.I think Safaricom is doing something right. It appears to me that the people in charge of their network know how things should be done! There must be some brilliant minds at Safaricom who sit down and plan, then go ahead and implement their brilliant plans!Apart from the slow internet on Saturday and Sunday, things have now gone back to normal. They did not tell us to wait for a week and yes, they even apologized for the slow connection as though it was their own fault!I know the cost of re-routing traffic to Seacom will be passed on to us at one point since Safaricom does not engage itself in matters of charity but that is fine by me - financial costs are less significant than other costs such as lost productivity.Until such a time that service providers learn to behave like Safaricom when it comes to dealing with their clients, there will NEVER BE ANY REAL SAFARICOM COMPETITOR(S)! To pre-empt your first question - No I do not work for them. To pre-empt your second question - No I do not have relatives who work for them. To pre-empt your third question - No,I do not own Safaricom shares. Would you believe all this loyalty comes from good service?Funny eih? :) My 2 cents...i'm out! - Kind Regards, Moses Muya. It does seem that given time - the other east african countries might switch to seacom - thus congestion (depending on how their network cares for their customers).. but most do not give a dime; they would rather wait out the winter; the customers will walk it off and zoea [?] If safcom still has good service - then we know why they rule !

To tell you the truth, Safaricom's network is faster on Seacom than on TEAMS. I am having great speeds with less latencies. This is turning out to be very good for Safaricom customers. But my Zuku line, well that's another story.

Some time last year I was told seacom was at 6% of it's bandwidth so doubt it's congested now On 28 February 2012 15:19, Philip Musyoki <pmusyoki@gmail.com> wrote:

The commercials is what is @ play.. Am sure Seacom would like to firm up as many contracts as possible during this period.
