KRA has the technology and this is not probably a tech issue but more to do with the complexity of the system, makes it hard to use. The security on it also annoys too and once you switch the "chicken security stuff" the whole thing gets fails. I don't understand what they would like to achieve by this complexity. Even if it spins on the fastest hardware, the issue is the same, as a user spent more time on a single issue, trying and trying, call KRA, them they try and have tried, then you are told please try again. This anomalies or unpredicted behaviors that jeopardize the correct functioning of the entire system.

Let us not be so excited with Technology and Cloud Services thing and forget our data thiefs like US (US spies) and other foreign information malpractitioners. I still insist that we maintain data at KRA storehouse or create our own local cloud (in Karura Forest, Hotsite Mombasa and Coldsite in Kericho :)

They still have not learnt something call Cloud hosting. There is no way in hell they are going to host a system that the whole country depends on to file taxes in their premises and expect it to work unless they turn into an internet service provide where they can have unlimited up/down link.
Why cant they see consultancy from experts on such mission critical matters?

Thank you @Raymond.
Another year another system (http://itax.kra.go.ke/) made by the Kenyan government can't handle a spike in traffic despite having full knowledge of last minute rush by taxpayers like me.
I thought this is something Angani or Amazon Web Services can handle?

With respect to this.
I am try to fill my returns and on the ods/excel document I am not getting a Tax Due figure of zero since AFAIK I don't owe KRA any money.
My figure is Kshs 251.00.
What does this imply? Is this correct? Does it mean my employer has not paid the 251.00?
