Hey guys, I hope you don't take this as an inappropriate commercial suggestion (it is not!), but how about moving to a management-free and cost-free system like Google Groups or Yahoo Groups? -divon On Fri, Apr 3, 2009 at 22:06, Murigi Muraya <murigi.muraya@gmail.com> wrote:

Divon, Commercial independence is imperative for neutrality which is at the heart of skunks. By going for google or yahoo will be according a commercial entity undue advantage. It will also be a technical idictement on our skills and abilities. This failure was a process issue not techical, and how else will we learn? With my vote, I'd have say no thanks. David. True. And what about hosting? It's pretty easy to buy a server and set it up. Even a workstation with just two HDD will do, if only to run the list. Hosting is the issue, really.Right now, KENIC "donates" that. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "Clothes make the man. Buying a new server sounds ideal, the server could be placed at KENIC given the strategic role of the institution in the ICT sector. For the first twenty-two years of your life, you are taught that mistakes are bad and embarrassing.. when in fact mistakes are simply opportunities to learn something new. And while we are in the topic, why not makes the posts searchable? There are many times where I know I read something on the list but I have no idea where to start looking for it! A simple full text search might be easy to do is the posts were in a database. On Mon, Apr 6, 2009 at 10:02 AM, Josiah Mugambi <jmugambi@gmail.com> wrote:

This should be nice. Yes, mailman can be integrated with htdig and other search tools to avail this functionality.
