What would you want your iPad/tablet to do for you?
Here's the scenario, you have an iPad or one of the Android tablets, you love it, but, you still have to lug around your big badass laptop because, well, you can't work on the tablet. So, what capability would you want on your tablet to enable you get rid of your laptop? Here's mine: Ability to develop end to end on PHP and MySQL. Write PHP code, debug it, run it, connect it to a MySQL-like database, the whole LAMP stack.
There are Web IDEs , but they are quite costly. Maybe you can start an open source HTML5 IDE that one can install on their own servers , and access their code on devices. It can leverage on Eclipse. Well the best execution i have seen of a tablet and productivity was once i saw this gentleman who had pushed everything to the cloud, not sure how much it was costing him but he was my trainer and his labs and resources were all in the cloud ... so he used to walk in with his ASUS Transformer dock it , get connected and the class was up and running.....give that a thought it sure made me wanna buy a cloud computer that runs all my work then my home computer can be used for movies :) he also had his home computer hooked up and would work on it remotely ...that is still cloud computing On Fri, Mar 9, 2012 at 11:03 AM, Joseph McDonald <mcdonaldoj@gmail.com>wrote:
